health. Join the AMA team as the Tax Director in Finance. As
part of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing all tax compliance
and tax planning functions for the AMA, including international, state,
federal, not-for-profit and other taxes. The Director is also responsible for
researching and interpreting tax laws in all jurisdictions in which the AMA
operates or intends to operate in order to comply with the laws of the
jurisdictions and to aid in overall tax planning for the AMA. Will serve
as a resource for all other departments on tax issues (international, state,
federal, not-for-profit). The director will work with financial management
within the AMA and third party service providers.
Other Responsibilities will include:
federal, international and state income tax returns and payments, including all
related analysis and support.
Responsible for all
state and local sales, use and property tax filings and returns.
audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings.
quarterly estimated payments and support.
Federal Election Commission reporting.
accounting for income taxes (SFAS No. 109) in the US and International
transfer pricing and management fee arrangements between AMA and for-profit
subsidiaries and affiliates.
operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting
appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.
finance on all allocations of cost used in tax filings
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.)
in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Business Taxation or CPS preferred.
Ten years of related
tax experience with at least 5 years in a Public Accounting firm desired.
Not-For-Profit tax experience required. International tax experience desired.
Must have a
demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based
written, and presentation skills required.

potential to assume greater responsibilities.
