As Director, you will be responsible for departmental oversight of collection of oil and gas severance taxes, corporate income taxes, fisheries business taxes, and a variety of excise taxes. You will lead the agency's 100-person division, made up of tax, audit, economic research, administrative, and IT professionals. The Tax Director is a partially exempt position that reports directly to the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue and the post of duty is in the Atwood building in Anchorage, Alaska.

The Director formulates rules, regulations, policies, and program recommendations for the division. This position is also responsible for exercising internal control over the expenditure of state program funds. The Tax Division is responsible for revenue forecasting and development of state tax and fiscal policy and oversees the State's charitable gaming program.
