EIC Due Diligence and Enforcement On-Demand Webinar

Summary

The earned income tax credit (EIC) is a refundable federal income tax credit that is available to individuals with low- to moderate-income levels. The EIC helps low- and moderate-income individuals who are employed by providing them with a financial boost. According to the IRS, in 2019 alone, more than 26 million taxpayers received around $63 billion from the credit, bringing the average to almost $2,500 per family.

In this webinar, we’ll review the requirements preparers must follow, what happens when a preparer is contacted by the IRS and what to do (and not do) if you want to avoid meeting with the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), Criminal Investigation or both.
