Preparing Form 990 for Tax Exempt Organizations On-Demand Webinar
Summary
While an organization can be tax exempt, it doesn’t mean they don’t have to file a return with the IRS. Depending on the situation, it may need to file Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax; Form 990-EZ, Short Form Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax; or Form 990-N, Electronic Notice (e-Postcard) for Tax Exempt Organizations Not Required to File Form 990 or Form 990EZ, to retain their exempt status. There are specific filing requirements for each type of Form 990, but our discussion will focus on Form 990 specifically. The issue tax preparers face with Form 990 is that it has numerous parts and schedules and can be challenging to prepare. In this webinar, you’ll learn how to prepare Form 990 and all the required parts and schedules, including how to best answer the questions in Part IV, Checklist of Required Schedules.
