Avoid Penalties: Revisiting the FBAR and Form 8938 On-Demand Webinar

Summary

It is very common for U.S. tax residents to own assets in foreign jurisdictions. Common assets held outside the U.S. include bank and securities accounts, among others. These assets trigger some reporting requirements, including not-so-new forms such as the FBAR and Form 8938. This webinar will provide a review of the FBAR and Form 8938 and will focus on the similarities and differences between such forms. Applicable thresholds for each will be reviewed. We’ll also discuss applicable penalties and most recent legal developments for the FBAR, derived from the 2023 Supreme Court’s ruling in the Bittner case. Join us to receive practical training on the completion of the respective form.
