Calculating Child Tax Credits Webinar
Summary
The child tax credit (CTC) offers families with qualifying children a tax break. On its own, the CTC is a nonrefundable credit. However, there are instances when a portion of the credit could become refundable as the additional child tax credit (ACTC). This webinar demonstrates the calculation and application of the CTC and identifies when taxpayers are eligible for the refundable ACTC. In addition, the webinar will discuss the other dependent credit (ODC), which is a tax benefit available to parents when their qualifying child or qualifying relative is not eligible for the CTC.
