Summary
Join our online instructor-led Annual Federal Tax Refresher (AFTR) Workshop – a key component of the IRS’s Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP). Designed for non-credentialed tax return preparers, this program helps you stay current on federal tax law updates while fulfilling part of the continuing education required to earn the IRS AFSP Record of Completion.
Your instructor will guide you through critical tax law changes, offer expert tips, and prepare you for success on the AFTR exam. Earning the Record of Completion grants you limited representation rights before the IRS and helps you stand out in a competitive marketplace.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the tax professional will be able to:

- Apply new law provisions and updated limitations
- Identify taxpayer information necessary to complete a Form 1040,
U.S. Individual Income Tax Return
- Understand preparer responsibilities in dealings with the IRS and clients
