This program will discuss the usage of amended returns. What are the rules for electronically filing amended returns? Are there elections that can be made on an amended return, even after the original return has been filed? Can a refund on an amended return be set up for direct deposit? These questions and more will be answered in this program. This program will also discuss the difference between an Amended return and a Superseded return. This distinction between an amended return and a superseded return may be important when it comes to returns that have already been filed and the ability to change those returns.
- Basis Rules For Property Received Through Gift, Inheritance, Remainder Interests, Divorce, Etc.:

- Ask:

This topic asks attendees to write up their questions ahead of time and the seminar speaker will address the questions in the program. Additional questions can come from the floor as time permits. Questions should be valuable to the audience in general and should be of a nature that should be able to be discussed in 10-15 minutes. An example of an unreasonable question would be "Explain how to calculate an NOL." This is not something that could be answered in 10-15 minutes to the satisfaction of the group.
