At the last VT Chapter NATP meeting in Burlington, the question was asked if CPA's could use the course for CPE credits, even if the VT chapter did not pay the fee for the credit hours.
I spoke with Aprille Morrison, of the CPA board, this was her response.
As long as the course otherwise qualifies under NASBA ( National Association of State Boards of Accountancy)
You receive a certificate of completion
You have the course outline
And she also said it is up to each licensee to prove
Hope all had a wonderful Christmas. I am a member of the MA/RI Board and have a client who has a vacation home in Vermont.
They are looking to rent it out and I am wondering what taxes they will be liable for on the rental income. Such as sales tax, this is not a hotel but their personal vacation home.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
