We are looking for a seasonal preparer for 20+ hours weekly. The actual season will begin in February through the end of April. Training will begin in December.
Our firm uses Ultra Tax software; experience with this software is a plus!
Hourly rate based on experience.
This is a seasonal opportunity.
It is ideal for many, including returning and retiring tax professionals as well as college students.
The work environment is enjoyable and located in Midtown Manhattan. This is an in-office position and there is no remote work. Position will begin February 2026 and will last to approximately April 30, 2026.
We will offer paid training prior to tax season on our systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the department. You will help us stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.
- Perform tax research and apply it to each client scenarios
- Prepare and review tax returns (Individual, Partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, Trust)
- Identify opportunities to minimize the effective tax rate, tax planning ideas
- Oversee non-income tax compliance, payroll, accounting, bookkeeping
- Oversee IRS issues, prepare responses to IRS notices, resolve IRS issues
- Lacerte tax preparation experience
- Can review small business accounting and make appropriate journal entries to correct mistakes
- Can work efficiently and effectively
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years' of experience of professional tax experience
- Strong communication and analytical skil
