Stacy Trevino, Danny’s Income Tax Service – Texas

I attended college at Texas State University and worked for a CPA as a bookkeeper, where I learned how to prepare taxes. I graduated with her master’s and continued to work in the business sector for over a decade. In 2018, my father Danny (Danny’s Income Tax Service) was diagnosed with sarcoma. In 2020, we realized it was time to have a backup plan for the business, so I began to work for him full-time and became an enrolled agent. In late 2021, my dad passed away and I took over the business. The transition was bumpy and scary, but I knew her main purpose in life was to continue the walk in my father's footsteps. Danny's Income Tax Service continues to grow, and I maintain my office in Corpus Christi, TX.

Naomi Gentle, Entrust Tax Solutions – Texas

I'm an EA entering my 21st year in the industry and 10th year as a business owner. I specialize in tax preparation, tax planning and tax resolution. My firm has been 100% virtual since tax season 2020.

Marlen Maldonado, Brazos United Tax Service & Real Estate – Texas

I have provided income tax preparation for individuals and small businesses. Guiding them on how to manage their finances has been an added service I have provided, along with real estate, translating and notary public.

Debbie Holladay, Holladay & Associates, Inc. – Texas

After being in the tax industry for over 28 years, in 2015, with a leap of faith and family support, Holladay & Associates, Inc., was founded. I opened the doors on an office that had no furniture. That first week, people dropped off information and several sat on the floor to spread their paperwork out. Some of these clients had been with me since I started in 1987.

My firm is dedicated to helping clients achieve business success by helping them establish practical and sound tax processes while delivering tax and financial services that meet each client's unique objectives. When we help our clients reach their financial goals, we're also achieving our own goals. Giving back to our community is a must and our firm provides paid volunteer hours yearly for all associates.

Each year, my company has experienced growth pains, but they are not the same ones each year. With continued growth, my team has had to come up with better ideas to take it from that one-woman office to where we are now. We have learned much over the years and know that it is the people and relationships that have a difference.

After creating a successful tax practice preparing tax returns for individuals for over 15 years (Delfau Tax & Financial Services), I knew I wanted to help everyday people outside of tax season understand taxes in plain English. Thus, I built Her Money Solutions LLC, where I teach live programs on tax and hold 1-on-1 consultations for individuals, sole proprietors, independent contractors and SMLLCs so that they have the tools to empower themselves in making sound decisions in their business. I enjoy educating other preparers' clients and returning them to their tax professionals as better prepared, better informed and more collaborative clients.

Jodi Campbell, Southland Business Services, Inc. – Tennessee

Specializing in full-service solutions for small business owners, Southland Business Services, Inc., provides bookkeeping, payroll, tax and notary services. While located in the small community of Rogersville, Tennessee, we serve clients across the country. I founded Southland in 2022 after my husband and former business partner's unexpected passing. Having moved across the country just two months prior, I was faced with the decision of whether to allow my small, remote bookkeeping and tax business to dwindle without my husband's support, or take a leap of faith by opening an office in my new hometown. I opted to charge forward, earning my EA in 2021 and opening my new office in spring of 2022. I haven't looked back. One year after opening, Southland was voted Hawkins County's Best of the Best Accounting/Bookkeeping/Tax Office and Notary Public Office, and I was voted Best of the Best Notary Public.

I started my own business for small businesses to have VIP service. From bookkeeping to payroll, which led to tax preparation, I’ve been in the business for 20 years with many original clients.

Bethany Scott, J&D Tax Service Inc. – North Carolina

Family owned and operated since 1986, we serve the Foothills region with their bookkeeping, payroll and tax needs. My grandmother started the business, and I took over in 2016. She still works during tax season at 76 years old. She inspired me to be a strong business-minded women. Since 2016, we have grown from 1,200 returns a year to almost 1,700 in 2022 tax season.
