It will focus primarily on individual income tax issues and the preparation of Schedule E (Form 1040). Some topics will be discussed more in-depth in an effort to clarify issues related to those select topics. - Analysis of expenses and deductions allowed against rental income.
- Identify situations where the vacation home rules apply and how to allocate expenses.
- Explain how the passive loss rules affect a rental activity.
