It will focus primarily on individual income tax issues and the preparation of Schedule C (Form 1040). Objectives Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: - Determine whether a taxpayer's activity is a hobby or a business.
- Complete a Schedule C to determine net profit or loss.
- Discuss deductible business expenses such as vehicle expenses, meals, and entertainment.
- Compute depreciation and the Section 179 expense deduction on Form 4562.
- Complete Schedule SE to compute self-employment tax.
