    Objectives

      Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

      • Determine if the taxpayer is a resident alien, non-resident alien, or dual-status alien.
      • Decide which tax return to file.
      • Identify gross income, effectively connected income, and applicable tax rate.
      • Understand the use of tax treaties.
      • Complete Form 1040-NR.
