NATP's Online Course Policies These policies have been drafted to help make your experience in our courses more consistent. Please note that instructors and NATP staff members cannot make exceptions to these policies. For any clarification on these items, please discuss it with your course instructor. - Participation - The online week begins on Monday and ends the following Sunday. (The facilitator will not be posting in the classroom on the weekend. The facilitator will wrap up any weekend questions or issues on the following business day.) Successful completion of the course is through either meeting participation requirements (posting at least one message to the Discussion Room on three different days during each week) or by successfully passing an exam at the end of the class. It is recommended that you meet the participation requirements and take the exam. This approach will increase your opportunities for success and your knowledge in the topic area. CPE credits will be given after successful course completion.
- Privacy & Confidentiality in the Online Course - One of the highlights of the online experience is that you can draw on the wealth of examples from class discussions and in assignments. However, it is imperative that you respect that the information shared is confidential, privileged, or proprietary in nature.
- Etiquette and Tone - When communicating with the members of this class, be sure to use a positive and respectful tone. It is important to take into consideration the environment we are in and the tools we use for communication. At times, it is hard to know if someone is joking, angry, sarcastic, etc. So, let's do our best by demonstrating a high level of courtesy and professional tone in all of our messages.
Also, please realize that each of us comes from a different perspective on the issues. Let's learn from each other and ensure that we each have the opportunity to share our views. - Assignment Deadlines - The deadline for each assignment will be midnight on the day it is due, in the Central Time Zone.
- The Weekly Schedule - For courses that are one week in length: Our course week begins at 12:01 AM each Monday and ends the following Sunday at midnight. You will still have access to the course for a few days afterward to catch up on any missed postings.
For courses that are more than one week in length: Our course week begins at 12:01 AM each Monday and ends the following Sunday at midnight. The course's second week then begins the following Monday. - Cancellations - Due to the limited number of available openings for these courses, a $25 cancellation fee will be applied. You must, however, cancel your registration at least two days prior to the event. No refunds will be provided after the start of the course.
