Summary
Truck drivers, airline workers and railroad employees are several examples of employees who provide unique tax situations which practitioners must understand to properly prepare the transportation worker’s returns. This webinar will provide you with the knowledge you need to understand and properly report the income and expenses incurred by these workers.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this webinar, you will be able to:  

  • Define a transportation worker.
  • Report income and expense of a transportation worker as an employee or as an independent contractor.
  • Complete Form 2106, Employee Business Expenses.
  • Determine if a taxpayer is away from home.
