Expand your practice to include Form 990 preparation! It’s a largely misunderstood form, but in this webinar we will break it down at a basic level to get you started. We will start by identifying items an organization seeking exempt status will need to provide you to complete Form 1023. Then we’ll cover the rules regarding who’s required to file a Form 990 and which form(s) in the 990 series is required. You’ll also learn to look for items of unrelated business income. If you’ve contemplated offering Form 990 services, now is the time to start!

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify required items and information to complete Form 1023, Application for Recognition of Exemption Under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Determine which, if any, form a non-profit organization is required to file
  • Complete a basic Form 990-EZ, Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax
  • Identify potential unrelated business income
