Ron Olson began his tax preparation business in Troy, NY in 1983 and has been an enrolled agent since 1987. At the peak of his activity he prepared approximately 1,100 individual, corporation, partnership, fiduciary and exempt organization returns annually. In late 2005, Ron entered semi-retirement, and moved to Laguna Vista, TX (near the Gulf of Mexico) where he continues to prepare returns for about 40% of his New York clients. Before entering the tax preparation business, he worked as a survey statistician for the US Census Bureau.
